Melrose High Student Named National Merit Semifinalist

Elizabeth L. Hirsch scored among the top 1% of high school seniors that took the PSAT in 2014.

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation has announced the names of approximately 16,000 Semifinalists in the 61st annual National Merit Scholarship Program.

Elizabeth L. Hirsch, of Melrose High School, was recently named a semifinalist.

These academically talented high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,400 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $32 million.
