Melrose Superintendent Of Schools Announces Resignation
Adam Deleidi only served in the role for one school year.

MELROSE, MA — Superintendent of Schools Adam Deleidi announced he will officially resign from his position on Friday, June 13, the last day of the school year.
Deleidi is departing from the role after less than one calendar year. He first signed on in January 2024 and assumed the role on July 1. He will now be moving on with two years remaining on his three-year contract.
According to the Melrose School Committee, Assistant Superintendent Cari Berman will become Acting Superintendent as soon as Friday, June 6. The district has also brought on former Superintendent John Macero in an advisory role to ensure a smooth transition.
Despite his short tenure, Deleidi said he is proud of what he nd his co-workers accomplished in the past year.

“Professionally, I am looking forward to new opportunities, but personally, I am going to miss working with the students of the Melrose Public Schools,” Deleidi said in a statement.
