Melrose Superintendent Search Down To 4 Finalists

MELROSE, MA — The Melrose School Committee has announced the four finalists to become the next superintendent of Melrose Public Schools.
The finalists were put forward by the Superintendent Search Screening Committee after the committee interviewed a pool of seven candidates. The committee originally reviewed 11 applications for the position.
Each of the finalists will visit Melrose this month to meet with members of the community and interview with the School Committee.

The finalists are:
- Jannell Pearson-Campbell, who most recently served as the interim superintendent of Northampton Public Schools.
- Adam Deleidi, who currently serves as the Chelsea Public Schools deputy superintendent.
- Priya Tahiliani, who most recently served as the superintendent of the Everett Public Schools.
- John Buckey, who most recently served as the superintendent of the Marblehead Public Schools.
Pearson is scheduled to visit Melrose on Monday, Deledi on Tuesday, Tahiliani on Nov. 27 and Buckey on Nov. 28.

Each candidate will attend a 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. meet-and-greet with parents and community members at the MHS Learning Commons. Then, from 6:30 pm. to 7:30 p.m., each candidate will interview with the School Committee in the City Council Chamber.
"We would like to especially thank the members of the Screening Committee for their extraordinary dedication and commitment to this search process," the Melrose School Committee said in a statement.
The statement continued: "The Screening Committee met on five different evenings to prepare, review, interview, debate, deliberate, and decide on the finalists presented to the Melrose School Committee. They were truly professional in this critical endeavor, and we are grateful to them for their service."
