The following is from the City of Melrose:
The City of Melrose Veterans Day Ceremony will begin on 11/11/21 at 11:00 AM at the Vietnam Reflection Area. The Reflection Area is located at the Knoll across from Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School. After a small ceremony at the Knoll, we will proceed to the Vietnam Memorial on Main St. After a brief remembrance at the Vietnam Memorial we will conclude the days’ ceremony at the Honor Roll where we will officially unveil the newly restored memorial.
In the spirit of service, the Melrose Veterans’ Advisory Board in partnership with the Melrose Veterans’ Services Office will be holding a food drive at the Melrose Shaw’s on Saturday November 13th from 8-4. Our goal is to fill the shelves with needed items heading into the holiday season. All donated food and gift cards will be given to the Servant’s Heart Food Pantry and the Pantry of Hope.
