MELROSE, MA — The city’s Cultural Council is soliciting input from the community on what projects it should fund for Fiscal Year 2026.

A 10-question survey is available online for residents to express what types of cultural offerings they would or would not like to see in Melrose. Each year, the Melrose Cultural Council is given a certain amount of grant money by the Massachusetts Cultural Council in which it is used to fund various enrichment initiatives throughout the city. The council is comprised of nine members, two of which are student representatives from the district.

“While the Massachusetts Cultural Council sets funding guidelines for state arts and cultural funds, feedback from Melrose residents will help define funding priorities that are specific to the Melrose community,” the council said in a statement.
