From our humble beginnings at a table on Congress Street during Portland's First Friday Artwalk, we've grown into a beloved household service with a big climate impact. Today, we service more than 40,000 households, schools, restaurants, businesses, and events across the region. We're expanding our reach with the vision of bringing convenient curbside composting to communities throughout New England. Our ethos is simple: make composting approachable, convenient, and impactful while supporting local economies. Through our work, we're tackling one of the largest contributors to greenhouse gas emissions—food waste in landfills—and turning it into a resource that nourishes the region's soil and farms.

The link to register and participate in the online meeting is on the City of Melrose website under the "Access Public Meetings" tab and on the MCP website mcp.cityofmelrose.org. This meeting is an opportunity to learn more and ask questions. Residents and business owners who aren't currently enrolled in MCP are welcome to attend because the program is open to anyone in the City of Melrose. No action is needed from program participants to continue with the program - the transition to the next three years is seamless. A program update was mailed to every participant in the program on October 29, explaining the new rates, the renewable energy included in the program and how to choose the 100% renewable energy option. Join the virtual meeting to learn more details about these and other electricity topics.
