Many high school seniors spend their final semesters skipping class and kicking back. Meanwhile, there’s Michael Roscigno, Sabrina O’Brien, and Daniel Munday, who have volunteered their springs to interning at the Melrose Police Department.

In doing so, they’ve willingly ruined their own chances of getting invited to any underage drinking parties, which the department clearly appreciates.

“The Student Internship Program allows the Melrose Police Department to bring young people into the department to learn about policing, and to assist us with projects and day-to-day tasks,” said Police Chief Michael Lyle in a statement to the media.

“We are grateful to our three students for taking time this spring and summer to work with the Police Department.”
