Why Go: Come down to the farm to meet Bingo and some of his animal friends! Through music and games, you and your little one will learn some basic American Sign Language (ASL) to enhance communication, build literacy skills, and, most importantly, have fun! There will be two sessions: 10:30-11:05 for 13 months and up; 11:15-11:50 for 0-12 months.

Why Go: Stop by to meet members of the Melrose Association of Pop Warner Football, who will be available to register players or address any questions you may have regarding the upcoming season.

Why Go: Come down to Barnes & Noble in Saugus on Route 1 all day and stock up on birthday gifts and summer reading books—or even enjoy a cup of coffee in the cafe! 10-15 percent of your Barnes & Noble purchases will benefit the Roosevelt School Library and literacy programs. Bring the kids between 3-5 p.m. for reading, arts & crafts with Roosevelt School teachers and Principal Kerry Clery. Come back in the evening with your older kids (best for grades 4-6) for an exciting activity with author Pendred Noyce (of Lost in Lexicon).

Why Go: Join Bread of Life at their new home and take a tour of the new facility, learn more about their programs, meet volunteers and guestsand find out ways in which you can assist in their future growth. Bread of Life serves the hungry, needy, homeless and isolated in Melrose and nine other communities. Services include free evening meals, two food pantries in Everett and Malden, food deliveries to homeless families being sheltered in area motels, and grocery deliveries to the elderly. BOL also advocates for its patrons via referrals to other organizations and services aimed at helping those in need.

Why Go: This is the Churchill American Little League Baseball fundraiser at Giggles Comedy Clubat Prince Pizza on Route 1 South in Saugus.
