Trick Or Treat At Melrose Businesses Is On
The event will take place two days before Halloween, with the city shutting down some roads to allow kids to trick-or-treat at local shops.

MELROSE, MA — It came down to the wire, but the city will have its annual trick-or-treat event at local businesses this year.
The Melrose Chamber of Commerce announced Wednesday the Trick or Treat at Melrose Businesses will take place Fri., Oct. 29, between 3-5 p.m. Businesses on Main Street, Essex Street, West Foster Street, West Wyoming Avenue, West Emerson Street, Franklin Street and in other local business districts in Melrose will be handing out candy to children in third grade or younger.
Main Street from Upham Street to Grove Street and Essex Street from Main Street to Myrtle Street will be closed to vehicles during the event.

The Chamber's decision came after collaboration with City Hall and the Health Department on how to best move forward as the pandemic lingers. Masks are strongly recommended.
