5 Things: Casino Impact Reports Online on Milford's Website
Here are five things to know to help inform your day.

1. Milford is continuing to add impact reports about the proposed Foxwoods Massachusetts casino to its website. In the past few days, reports on crime impacts, traffic comparisons and salary ranges were published to the site. Look under both Foxwoods and town consultant tabs for the latest.
2. The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold two meetings this week, to determine whether two slots parlor applicants in Southeastern Massachusetts have passed muster on its "suitability" test. This is the final aspect of Phase I applications. The commission will consider the status of the Plainridge Racecourse and Raynham Park in separate meetings, Thursday and Friday.
3. In other gaming developments, selectmen in Millbury have approved a host community agreement with a developer who hopes to open a slots parlor in that town. According to a press release, the town will receive: an initial payment of $500,000 once the Category 2 license is secured; payments of at least $3.2 million annually provided from the combination of property taxes and an impact fee; an annual community payment of 1.25 percent of the gross gaming revenue over $175 million per year.
4. A rescheduled, free outdoor concert will be tonight at Milford Town Park. The Cocabanana Band will perform at 6:30 as part of the Claflin Hill Symphony Orchestra's Family Night at the Bandstand series.
5. The Milford Town Library is reaching out to young adults, or teens and pre-teens, throughout the summer with activities and events. This afternoon, it's free henna tattoos for all ages, from 2:30 to 4 p.m.
