1. Delores DeVita is the acting director of the Milford Senior Center. She was appointed to that position several months ago.
2. Before the two suspects in the Boston Marathon bombings were either killed or apprehended by police, their images were broadcast and published on media Thursday. A few people in Milford thought they saw them, and reported this to police. Chief Thomas O'Loughlin said there is no indication that the suspects were in this area.

3. Milford Selectmen on Monday appointed John Seaver, a former selectman, to a position on the Armory Renovation Committee, which will look into renovations of the Milford Youth Center building.
4. Vonnie Maureen Reis has been appointed Milford Town Engineer. She will replace Mike Santora, who is retiring after 28 years. Reis holds a bachelor's of science degree in civil engineering and a master's degree in environmental and civil engineering. She has decades of private industry experience and was selected from 26 applicants. She will earn $84,638 annually.
