5 Things You Need to Know Today: April 29
The 2nd Annual Wally Seaver High School Invitational will be held this summer at a larger facility, to accommodate what is expected to be a doubling of the field.

Our weekday morning column, 5 Things You Need to Know, provides you with information that can help you plan your day and give you some fodder for water cooler conversations.
1. Paul Seaver, has announced that the 2nd annual Wally Seaver High School Invitational, to benefit ALS research, will be held July 27-28 at Mass Premier Courts in Foxboro. The move from Milford will accommodate what is expected to be a doubling of basketball team entries, and will increase fundraising efforts for ALS. Thirty-two high school teams are expected to be invited. Follow the event on Facebook or Twitter.
2. Yoga is now offered for children in second, third and fourth grades at through the Milford Community School Use program. The six-week, after-school program will be from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m. in the gym, beginning Tuesday. The instructor is Manda Dougherty. The cost is $75 for residents of Milford, and $85 for out-of-town students. Please click here to download a registration form.

3. Beginning in May, the Milford Town Library will have drop-in storytime sessions for children of different ages. Mother Goose on the Loose for Infants – age 2 (with an adult), will be at 10 a.m. on Fridays, from May 3 through May 17; Toddler Time for ages 2 – 3 (with an adult) will be held at 10 a.m. on May 7, 13 and 22. Storytime for children ages 3 – 5 will be held at 10  a.m. on May 14, 23 and 28. And Art With Heart for students in kindergarten – grade 3 will be held at 4 p.m. on May 9, 15 and 29.
4. An electronic recycling day will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at the First Congregational Church.

5. to elect town officials on one ballot, and on a state ballot, to determine which candidates for U.S. Senate will advance to a special election.
