60,000 Lb Loader Crashes In Milford, Caught On Video

MILFORD, MA — Milford police are investigating an accident with a large piece of equipment.

A 60,000 lb front-end loader struck a guardrail and utility pole on Friday afternoon, according to Milford police. The department released a video of the incident on Fortune Boulevard on social media.

The front-end loader experienced brake failure while driving, according to police. It collided with another vehicle and several road signs before stopping at the utility pole.

“It’s a miracle no one was killed or seriously injured,” said Milford Police Chief Robert Tusino. “If a motorist had entered the intersection just one second earlier, we could be facing an unspeakable tragedy.”
