7-Year-Old Hit by Vehicle on Cedar Street, Darted into Traffic

A 7-year-old boy was hit by a vehicle on Cedar Street Thursday night, according to Milford Police.

He was taken to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. The extent of his injuries was not disclosed, but was not thought to be severe.

The boy ran out into traffic about 6:45 p.m., according to police. The driver swerved to try to avoid him. The driver was not cited, police said.

The incident happened in front of Rosenfeld Park, and the boy was with his parents.
