Amazon Hosting Big Milford Job Fair, One Of Two In MA

MILFORD, MA — As part of a seasonal increase, Amazon will host a daylong hiring event Wednesday in Milford for jobs at warehouses across the state.

The event is one of two Seattle-based Amazon is hosting to hire workers in 10 communities across the state. The Milford event at the DoubleTree hotel along Beaver Street is seeking workers for jobs at warehouses in Milford, Northborough, Plymouth, and Bridgewater.

The second hiring event will take place in Burlington, 5 Wheeler Road, for jobs in Revere, Haverhill, Wilmington, Littleton, Nashua, NH, and Hooksett, NH.

According to Amazon, the jobs pay between $17.50 and $21 per hour, and some come with hiring bonuses up to $3,000 — but the bonus size depends on the site. A spokesperson said the jobs are "entry level warehouse positions."

The two events are part of a larger Amazon effort to hire 150,000 people across the U.S. ahead of the holiday season, including about 1,600 in Massachusetts. Both the Burlington and Milford hiring events run from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
