Credit Union Coming To Milford Offers Scholarships To Local Students
The Shrewsbury-based Central One Federal Credit Union will open a new branch along Prospect Street soon.
MILFORD, MA — Milford High School students will be able to apply for Central One Federal Credit Union's annual scholarship round in 2023 as the local institution prepares to open a new branch here.
Shrewsbury-based Central One Federal Credit Union is planning to open a branch this spring at 83 Prospect St., the former home of a Bank of America branch.
Each spring, the credit union offers a range of scholarships to students in communities where it has branches, including Auburn, Shrewsbury, Westborough, Worcester and Algonquin Regional High School in Northborough.

The awards include one $4,000 scholarship paid over four years, plus five $1,000 one-time scholarships. The awards are available to seniors graduating in May who plan to attend a four-year college or university and who are planning to major in business or finance. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic performance, need and extracurriculars. Applications are due by April 15, and can be completed on the credit union's website.
