See Who's Running In Milford's 2024 Election

MILFORD, MA — The deadline to file papers to run in Milford's 2024 election is coming up on Friday, and more than 20 candidates have made moves to run for office with 14 seats on the ballot.

As of Wednesday, races for seats on the Milford School Committee, Milford Board of Health and Trustees of Vernon Grove Cemetery were the only ones with the potential to be competitive. There's one Milford Select Board seat up for election this year, but incumbent Paul Mazzuchelli will likely be the only candidate vying for it.

In the health board race, the seat previously held by Kenneth Evans is open, and three candidates have returned papers to run for it. School committee incumbents Matthew Zacchilli, Meghan Hornberger and Christopher Wilson will be on the ballot, although a potential fourth candidate has pulled — but not returned — papers.

Three seats on the Board of Trustees for Vernon Grove Cemetery will turn over in 2024, and the race could see four potential candidates, including Charles Skaff and Michael Lenza, who were appointed to seats in October. Chair Richard Gray is not running for reelection this year.

There will also be 18 Town Meeting seats up for election in 2024. Five candidates had pulled papers to run as of Wednesday.
