Milford Highway Dept. Installing Brick-Patterned Crosswalks This Week
Traffic delays are expected; find out when the work will be completed.

Crews with the Milford Highway Department are in the process of installing five red, brick-patterned crosswalks through the center of town this week, and drivers through the Main Street area may experience delays as a result.
As part of the work, crews will typically paint the crosswalks solid yellow to make them more visible, Milford Highway Surveyor Scott J. Crisafulli said. The new crosswalks are expected to be more visible to traffic, as well as having more traction for pedestrians to safely cross the streets.
Each crosswalk, Crisafulli said, takes about a day to complete, and weather permitting, the work is expected to be completed by Friday, he said.
