Milford Police Arrest Two Following Stabbing of Teen

Milford detectives arrested Darren Jones, 19, and Michael Pleasant, 17, both of Milford, following an armed assault of another teen Wednesday night.

Milford police detectives arrested a 19- and 17-year-old Thursday on charges relating to a home invasion and assault of a 17-year-old, in a dispute that police say began with an argument over headphones.

Darren Jones, 19, of 36 E. Main St., Milford was charged with home invasion, malicious destruction of property, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and two additional counts of assault and battery.

Michael Pleasant, 17, of 50 Green St., Milford, was charged with home invasion, assault and battery and malicious destruction of property.

The pair is accused of breaking into a home on Lincoln Street and assaulting a 17-year-old boy, who police said was found laying on the floor with a superficial stab wound to the back.

The victim told police two males had forced their way into his home, pushed his mother, then attacked him with a knife, according to a police statement.

Detectives took  said Police Chief Thomas O'Loughlin, earlier Thursday afternoon.

O'Loughlin said the dispute began several weeks before, over a pair of headphones that the victim had borrowed from one of the suspects. When he returned it, one of the suspects had said it was damaged, and demanded $40.

Police arrested Jones and Pleasant on Thursday afternoon, without incident.
