MILFORD, MA — A local developer wants to build a new car wash using a piece of a South Main Street shopping plaza, according to plans submitted to the town.

The Canton-based developer New York Capital Investment Group LLC is seeking permission from the Zoning Board of Appeals to build a small, automated car wash at 146 South Main Street — the address of the Fair Shopping Plaza, home to a Planet Fitness, Big Lots and TJ's Cafe and Games.

According to plans submitted to the town, the car wash would only measure about 35 feet by 150 feet. The new facility would be relatively close to the Golden Nozzle car wash nearby along Cape Road.
