"Auxiliary Officers are part-time volunteers who provide support and assistance to the Police Department and the community during large events, such as parades, Milford Day, etc.," said O'Loughlin. "They are also involved in community activities such as conducting a food drive for the Milford Food Pantry during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays."
Auxiliary police are required to complete the part-time or full-time police academy. There is no set term.
