Police Log: Man Selling Used Household Products from Back of Car

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, April 28

8:15 p.m.: A woman in a wheelchair was reported to be in the middle of East Main Street, near Oliva's. A caller told police she was worried that the woman would be hit as it was dark and the vehicles are unable to see her. Police responded but the woman in the wheelchair was gone.

8:59 p.m.: A 57-year-old man who tripped over a wheelchair ramp on Congress Street was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

9:15 p.m.: A caller said a man dressed in all-white was attempting to enter Pine Street Baptist Church. Police spoke with him.

11:02 p.m.: A caller told police he was trying to pick up his car from Forest at Grove streets. He had let a friend borrow it and now the friend will not return it. Police reported the caller was going to try to work it out with the friend on Monday.

Monday, April 29

7:51 a.m.: A disturbance was reported on Walnut Street. A caller said the upstairs neighbors were making a lot of noise. She said the kids and the dogs had been running around since 5 a.m. The caller told the responding officer that the noise only happened the previous night from 10 to 11 p.m. Police found no one home on the second floor.

9:19 a.m.: A caller reported a gated wooden trailer was missing, lost somewhere in town.

11:41 a.m.: An officer reported he had spoken to a man who was selling used household products out of the back of his car in the parking lot at Hannaford Supermarket. The man was told to move along.

12:55 p.m.: A caller at Mahaney Rentals on Jefferson Street reported a man was not breathing. Police responded and took the man to Milford Regional Medical Center.
