Police Log: Milford Man Arrested on Warrant; Wires Knocked Down on Purchase, Sumner Streets

Monday, Oct. 6

At 8:57 a.m., Milford police received a report of a multi-vehicle accident in the area of Dilla and Sumner streets.

At 10:05 a.m., a caller reported a wire had been down on Purchase Street. Verizon was notified.

At 11:26 a.m., a caller reported a three-car accident in the roadway of Medway Road and Beaver Street. No injuries were reported from the scene, and a tow was requested for all three vehicles.

At 12:45 p.m., Milford’s auxiliary office reported a tractor-trailer took down a wire in the area of Fells Avenue and Sumner Street.

At 1:08 p.m., police received a report of a two-car accident involving a delivery driver in the area of East Main and Beach streets. The accident reportedly occurred as one of the vehicles exited the sacred Heart rectory. No injuries were reported.

At 3:32 p.m., police received a report from a local man that someone tried to break into his vehicle and damaged his door in the area of Parkhurst Street.

At 3:52 p.m., police received a report of larceny from the School Street area.

At 5 p.m., police responded to Pine Street, where they arrested Barry Driscoll, 29, of Milford, on a warrant.

At 5:44 p.m., a caller reported that an intoxicated male had been riding his bike on Main Street heading toward East Main Street. The rider reportedly crashed his bike before continuing along.

At 7:24 p.m., a caller reported a fire in the middle of the road in the area of Depot Street and Charles River Road.

At 8:37 p.m., a caller reported that someone called her about receiving a check, and when she confronted the caller about a potential scam, he hung up. No personal information was given.
