Police Log: Stolen Money; Wallet in Mailbox

Wednesday, Nov. 14

1:38 p.m.: A man reported leaves being pushed into the road on Muriel Lane were posing a hazard.

3:27 p.m.: A woman reported her son was being harassed by neighbors on Prairie Street.

4:03 p.m.: A disoriented man was parked in the breakdown lane on 495 northbound. He was stopped by an off-duty police officer. Bellingham rescue took the man to the hospital.

4:44 p.m.: A caller reported cars were speeding down East Street Extension. Radar enforcement was requested.

5:02 p.m.: Police received a 911 hangup call from Diana Circle. Upon callback a child said there was no 911 call from that address; then he said his sister did. Then, he said "no, nevermind, no one did."

5:20 p.m.: A woman went to the Police Department and reported someone had withdrawn $3,000 from her bank account.

7:07 p.m.: Police responded to a motorcycle crash on Purchase Street. An ambulance was requested but when police responded, they saw the operator, Milton Rivera of 209 Purchase St., was up and walking around.

7:10 p.m.: A caller from East Main Street reported she had a restraining order against a person who had started working at a business across the street from where she lives. She said she had a permanent restraining order from when she lived in Northbridge.

8:21 p.m.: A caller reported a man outside Blaire House, 20 Claflin St., who would not leave. Police requested an ambulance.

8:47 p.m.: A caller reported hearing someone across the street on Central Street yell for help, but only once. Police responded and spoke with the parties; all was fine.

10:31 p.m.: A caller from Wayne Road reported his neighbors had left the dog out, and he was concerned. Police responded and the owners came home while they were on scene. All was OK.

Thursday, Nov. 15

7:04 a.m.: Police are seeking a summons to charge John Harding, 26, of 21 Watch St., Rochdale, with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and speeding.

9:13 a.m.: A caller from Countryside Health Care reported her friend stole money from her checking account. Police spoke to the woman's social worker and will be seeking a summons to charge a person with larceny over $250 from a disabled person/person over 60. No further information was available.

10:24 a.m.: A caller said she thought someone was in her Grove Street apartment because a table was out of place. Police checked and all was OK.

1:23 p.m.: A woman went to the Police Department and reported she was involved in a domestic with her husband the previous day. Police filed a report.

2:46 p.m.: A woman from Ivy Lane reported her wallet was found in a mailbox by a postal worker.
