Trader Joe's Confirms It Will Open Milford Store

The rumors are true: Trader Joe's has confirmed it will open a store in Milford.

MILFORD, MA — Trader Joe's has confirmed that it will open a Milford store, which could be coming later this year.

The national chain, which has a loyal following, posted the following on its website:

"We've consulted our maps and compass and have found a terrific location for a store in Milford, MA. We are proud to be joining the neighborhood, and to continue our commitment to providing nourishment to the surrounding communities through our Neighborhood Shares program.

"Our Crew is working hard so we can open our doors in 2024. We’ll continue to post new details about the store and its opening here, so please check back for updates!"

Earlier this year, a construction firm pulled permits to renovate and "pour a new slab for a Trader Joe's fit-out" in a former Staples at 220 Fortune Boulevard.

However, in June, a spokesperson for Trader Joe's declined to say whether the grocer would be opening in Milford.

Trader Joe's Milford location will be the chain's 23rd store in Massachusetts and the first in the area. Milford sits in a Trader Joe's dead zone between the stores in Foxborough, Framingham and Shrewsbury.
