Man Allegedly Threatens Jogger With Knife, Runs Into Traffic

A jogger said the alleged attack was unprovoked, and the defendant was unknown to the jogger.

NATICK, MA—A jogger said an attack in Natick was unprovoked and committed by a complete stranger.

Christian O. Hernandez, 26, West Central Street, Natick, was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon and disorderly conduct on April 13 around 7:26 a.m.

A jogger told police that Hernandez threatened them with a knife, and there was no interaction or conversation prior to the threat. The victim, said the police report, fled the scene and encountered two police cruisers nearby so he then allegedly ran into busy traffic on Route 135 west to avoid officers. He "refused to obey," and was taken into custody after a struggle.
