Aggressive Dog, Door To Door For Used Games: Needham Police Log

August 24
12:00 p.m. - An officer was dispatched to a business on Franklin Street for a report that a party had passed counterfeit currency. The party was identified and the currency was confiscated. This matter is under investigation.
6:30 p.m. - An officer was dispatched to an Ardmore Road residence for a reported aggressive dog. A follow up was left for the Animal Control Officer.

August 25
2:30 a.m. - An officer was dispatched to a Highland Avenue business to conduct a well being check on an individual sleeping there. It was found the individual had a warrant for his arrest. Subsequently, 24-year-old Brandon Swanson of Manchester, New Hampshire man was placed under arrest for a default warrant out of Dedham District Court.

3:45 p.m. - Two teenage boys reported being approached by a man in a gray Subaru SUV the previous day. When the man began to engage them in conversation they left. On Saturday they saw the same vehicle and called Needham Police. Through investigation it was learned that this same male had approached two other teenage boys and asked them about purchasing used video games. He was also going door to door asking to purchase used video games. An officer was able to identify the man as a 29-year-old Boston resident based on a business card he had left. When the officer contacted the man he was very apologetic and was unaware his actions could cause concern. He stated he was purchasing used video games for an art project. He promised to stop his activities immediately.
