Photo Credit: Needham FireFire crews successfully knocked down a heavy blaze at a transfer station on Central Avenue in Needham Wednesday evening.The fire broke out just before 9 p.m. on 1421 Central Avenue, according to reports.Crews from Dedham, Wellesley and Newton responded to the scene to assist Needham firefighters.The fire was extinguished in a timely fashion as crews had the scene cleared within an hour.No injuries were reported during the incident. The amount of damage caused by the blaze is not known.
