Hey, Needham: Let's Take the 'Thankful' Challenge

If you've spent much time on Facebook, you've probably seen a friend or family member participate in the Facebook "thankful" challenge—a fun project started by some Facebook user years ago where the person lists all the things they are grateful for during the course of a month—one each day. 

With Thanksgiving coming up later this month, November is a perfect time for this kind of challenge, and we at Needham Patch thought it might be fun to recreate a similar project here. 

So tell us, Needhamites: What are you thankful for in Needham? What service, business, location, park, person, group, neighborhood or other aspect of living locally do you value most? Nov. 1—Places like Starbucks, Panera, the Needham Free Public Library and other spots around town with free wireless. (Needham Patch kicking things off here.)

Nov. 2—Wonderful teachers in Needham Public Schools (contributed via Facebook).

Nov. 3—Neighbors and community always offering to help out one another (contributed via Facebook).

Nov. 4—The Lesley Collaborative internship program at Hillside Elementary School (contributed via Facebook).

Nov. 5—Fun community events like the Luminary Stroll, Blue Tree Lighting, Harvest Fair, Fourth of July Parade and others.
