Needham Named In Wallet Hub's Top 20 Small Cities In America

NEEDHAM, MA — Needham is number four on Wallet Hub's list of the Top 20 Small Cities in America.

Surpassed only by Sammamish, WA, Lexington, MA and Carmel, IN, Needham was compared with more than 1,200 U.S. cities with populations between 25,000 and 100,000 across 43 key indicators of livability. Three other Massachusetts towns made the list, including Lexington, Milton and Arlington.

All 20 cities on the list range in housing costs and school-system quality to restaurants per capita and COVID-19 cases in the last seven days per 100,000 residents.

Needham ranked, 142 in affordability 43 in economic health and 14 in education and health. Lexington ranked 20 in safety and 481 in quality of life.
