Needham Police Log: Parking Lot Crashes and Suspicious Phones

Wednesday, Feb. 27

  • At about 1:30 p.m., a Rhode Island resident reports she hit a park car in the hospital parking lot. THe information and damage was documented for her insurers.

  • A Walpople resident reported that his car was hit while parked in the Briarwood Nursing Home parking lot, about 2 p.m. Police were unable to find witnesses.
  • A man came into the station and reported suspicious telephone calls, at about 4:15 p.m. 
  • A woman came into the station to report suspicious text messages, about 5 p.m.

Saturday, March 2

  • At about 9:30 a.m., police responded to 15 Lester Street for a reported suspicious motor vehicle. Before police arrived at the scene, the suspect car had fled the area, but a witness provided a description and registration. The vehicle was spotted, and stopped at Highland Avenue and Webster Street. Police arrested the driver, 34-year-old Herschel Senor of Medford, and charged him with driving on a revoked license. While inventorying the vehicle, police found 5 perscription pills, for which he was additionally charged with possession of class B and R drugs. 
  • While police spoke with Senor's associate, at the intersection of Highland Avenue and Webster Street, she informed them that she had an outstanding warrant. 28-year-old Fatima Sbai of Tamworth, NH was arrested on that warrant.

  • A Canterbury Lane address reported a sick skunk, to which police responded. They determined the skunk was ill, and put it down at about noon.
