Needham Police Log: Unchanged Address and A Missing Packages

Tuesday, Feb. 19

  • Police saw a green sedan driving on the 200 block of Highland Avenue which appeared to have a crack across the entire windshield, 2:45 p.m. They pulled the vehicle over and determined that Marco Zamora, 28, of Manchester, NH was driving without a valid license. He was arrested and cited with unlicensed operation and a defective equipment violation.
  • A package delivered by FedEx to a Pilgrim Road home was reportedly stolen some time before 3:30 p.m. Police report they do not have a suspect at this time.
  • At about 4:15 p.m., police received a report of an intoxicated man around Highland Avenue and May Street. The 39-year-old man from Needham was located and transported to the hospital, and will be summonsed to court for public consumption of an alcoholic beverage.

Wednesday, Feb. 20

  • At Great Plain and Dedham Avenues, 3:15 p.., a black Volkswagen Jetta was spotted driving through a red light. A check determined that the driver's license was suspended. The 30-year-old Lowell resident was summonsed for driving after a suspension, and her car was towed. 

Thursday, Feb. 21

  • Police responded to a report at the Needham Square Post Office, a postal worker reported several harassing phone calls from a disgruntled customer before noon. The customer was apparently upset that a change of address form had not been filed.
  • 3:30 p.m., police spoke to a victim of a past assault incident. He told police that he had been assaulted by an employee, and that he would not be pressing charges. He did not require any medical treatment either.
