In December I shared the 2022-23 school year (FY23) budget proposal with the Needham School Committee.

In December I shared the 2022-23 school year (FY23) budget proposal with the Needham School Committee.

The request provides the resources required to address existing staff contractual obligations, classroom and special education needs, and the District's Portrait of a Needham Graduate Five-Year Strategic Plan. The request provides the resources required to address existing staff contractual obligations, classroom and special education needs, and the District's Portrait of a Needham Graduate Five-Year Strategic Plan. The proposed plan totals $87,200,560 and represents a $3.6 million, or 4.3% spending increase over the current budget year. I believe this request has been thoughtfully considered and will allow us to continue to support the academic programs, learning interventions, and mental health and social & emotional needs of our students.

The requested resources are particularly important as we continue to support all students during the ongoing pandemic.
