Needham Resident Hiking To Help Domestic Violence Survivors
Emily Edwards is spending July 15-17 hiking the White Mountains of New Hampshire as part of Wilderness Heals benefiting Stone House.

Needham resident, Emily Edwards is participating in the 27th annual Wilderness Heals, a 3-day, all women pledge hike taking place from July 15-17 in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. This unique event builds and engages a community of supporters to raise money for Stone House, an inclusive and essential home and community space for domestic violence survivors located in Roxbury, Massachusetts. Emily is participating for the first time this year. "I decided to participate in Wilderness Heals to raise money for an organization that helps people at the most frightening and disorienting time of their lives,” said Emily Edwards. “All survivors deserve the chance to break-free from their abusers and the Stone House helps enable that. Domestic violence is pernicious and touches all communities, including ours, but is often hidden in the shadows."
