Brain Tumors Found In 5 Newton Hospital Nurses: Report
The nurses all work on the same floor at Newton-Wellesley Hospital.

NEWTON, MA — Five nurses who work on the same floor at Mass General Brigham’s Newton-Wellesely Hospital have been diagnosed with brain tumors, according to a report from NBC 10 Boston.
The Department of Occupational Health and Safety, Newton-Wellesley Safety Officers, radiation and pharmaceutical safety offices, and external environmental consultants worked together to investigate how the fifth-floor maternity unit nurses developed the benign growths. However, the Massachusetts Nurses Association expressed that they do not believe the hospital’s environmental testing was thorough enough.
In addition to the five diagnosed with brain tumors, six others were found to have other health concerns.
