5 Things You Need to Know Today: June 4

Living with loss, Suzuki information, author signing and Veterans Service Center hours.

1. Rabbi Grollman will discuss what he's learned about embracing life, living with loss and grieving during an event tonight at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center. The free talk begins at 6 p.m.

2. The Suzuki School of Newton invites parents to an information session tonight at 7:30 at the Newton Cultural Center.

3. Author Dan Shaughnessy will be at the Newton Free Library tonight at 7 p.m. to discuss his book, "Terry Francona: The Red Sox Years." A book signing will follow the tlak and copies will be available for purchase from the New England Mobile Book Fair.

4. It's Indoor Farmers' Market day. The market takes place from 1:30 p.m.-6 p.m. at the Hyde Community Center.

5. The Newton Veterans Center will hold its First Tuesday drop-in hours tonight from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. Veterans are invited to come by the center receive information about various services and benefits available to them. Food and beverages will be available.
