This is an edited version of a message from the Newton Police Department: Newton Police say sometime in the early morning hours, a person or persons damaged a dozen motor vehicles primarily in the Newtonville area. These vehicles were either scratched, or had their windows or taillights broken. The location of the 12 parked vehicles were Beaumont Avenue, Homer Street, Walnut Street, Elm Street, Washington Street (West Newton and Newtonville) and Centre Sreet (Newton Centre). Anyone with information is urged to contact us at 617 796-2100.
