AAA Members in Newton Can Now Renew Their License Without Leaving the City
AAA Northeast announced Thursday that Newton is the newest location to begin offering RMV renewal services for driver's licenses.

AAA members in Newton residents no longer have to leave the city to renew their licenses or registration.
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation and AAA Northeast announced today that their Newton location will soon offer registry services.
But Newton isn’t the only new location to offer these services. AAA Northeast is offering registry services in six new locations, making a total of 12 registry locations in Massachusetts.

Other new locations are: Westwood, Rockland, Newburyport, Burlington and Somerset.
“The Registry is committed to public private partnerships and consumer convenience; increasing the number of AAA locations offering core Registry services will help accomplish both of these important objectives,” said MassDOT Secretary & CEO Stephanie Pollack in a press release. “I am pleased to announce that my neighbors in Newton and surrounding communities have this new renewal option.”

AAA offers the only in-person, RMV services available on the weekend, according to the press release. Members can go in on Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Registry services offered by AAA in Massachusetts include:
- License renewals
- Duplicate licenses
- ID renewal
- Registration renewal
- Duplicate registration
- Registration amendments
- Registration transfers
- Duplicate titles
- Replacement license plate stickers
