Alley Cats Singing, Newton Restaurant Specials, Health Night at the Mall

1. It's Health & Wellness Night at the Mall at Chestnut Hill. Come by from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. to talk with a nutritionist, sample foods from Whole Foods Market and hear tips on planning nutritious snacks when time is short.

2. The Yale Alley Cats, of which Newton resident David Gore is a part, will perform at Needham Prebsyterian Church (1458 Great Plain Ave., Needham) Wednesday evening at 7:30. A suggested $10 donation will be accepted at the door.

3. Newton Community Farm has announced there are NO volunteer hours available for this coming Saturday (Aug. 24).
