A car has driven off the road and into a home on Spaulding Lane in Newton.
The vehicle drove through a fence and into the home at 7 Spaulding Lane, causing significant damage. Photos from the Newton Fire Department Twitter account show the car almost completely inside the home.
The accident appears to have been cause by a medical incident, according to scanner reports. The driver was trapped in the car, but was removed and taken to Beth-Israel Medical Center, according to the Newton Fire Department.
Traffic in the area - including Brookline Street - has been backed up. The home is only a block from Memorial-Spaulding Elementary School.
