Marking ten years since the devastating terrorist attacks of 9/11, the City of Newton will hold a special event this Sunday to honor the victims, and join together as a community.
The event will take place outside the War Memorial Entrance and will feature remarks from local clergy members, victim’s family member(s), musical performances from the Newton Choral Society, a special performance of Amazing Grace courtesy of the Newton Fire Department, and a communal candle lighting ceremony. Mayor Warren will also speak at the event, which will be emceed by Rabbi Eric Gurvis, President of the Newton Clergy Association
