To mark National Fire Prevention Week, the Newton Fire Department will hold an open house Tuesday, Oct. 9 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Station #4, 195 Crafts St. Similar to events in years past, the open house allows residents and kids to stop by the station and check out the fire trucks, engines and firefighting equipment as well as learn about fire safety and prevention.
