Household Sharps Disposal Day

The city's Environmental Affairs and Health & Human Services Department will host a household sharps disposal day where residents can drop off household syringes, needles and lancets for safe disposal.

All sharps should be placed in a puncture-proof container such as a red medical waste container or a detergent bottle. The containers should be nearly full.

Loose sharps, needles or lancets are not allowed as well as pills, prescription medication and other medical waste.
