Newton Choral Society's 37th season begins with with Carl Orff's dramatic cantata, "Carmina Burana" (1936).  Using selections from a rich trove of 12th and 13th century secular poems discovered in a Bavarian monastery, this work is one of the most popular and beloved works in the choral repertoire. Newton's Youth Pro Musica, under the direction of Robert Barney, will be joining the Choral Society for this one-night-only performance. Tickets prices: $25 ($21, senior and student)
