The following is a press release from Newton South High School's South Stage:
To herald in the first performance of the South Stage season, “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” Newton South High School’s South Stage parent group will hold a community event and fundraiser called “The First Annual Newton South/South Stage Adult Spelling Bee.”
It will be held on Friday, September 30th at the Windsor Club, 1601 Beacon The spelling bee will be fashioned like the National Scripps spelling bee where contestants will continue to advance as they correctly spell words, with a winner at the end. The South Stage spelling bee will be a bit less serious and a lot more humorous.
