Extended Overnight Closure Coming To Newton Highway Ramps
A ramp connecting Interstate Routes 95 and 90 is set to be closed overnight for more than a week.
NEWTON, MA — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation announced upcoming overnight closures for a ramp connecting Interstate Routes 90 and 95 between Friday, Feb. 14 and Saturday, Feb. 22.
The ramp connecting Route 95 northbound to Route 90 eastbound and westbound will be shut down each night of the closure period between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. on weekdays and 10:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. on weekends. According to MassDOT, drivers seeking access to Route 90 from Route 95 will be rerouted to Route 95 southbound, where they are encouraged to take Exit 37 to reverse direction back to Route 90.
The closure is being enacted to allow for work as part of the more than $300,000,000 Newton/Weston bridge rehabilitation project.
