Open houses, a concert and a town hall meeting.

1. New Art Center open house. The New Art Center in Newtonville will host an open house today from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. Tour the building, meet the faculty and staff, register for spring term courses and participate in crafts activities for children, adults and families. The event is free and open to the public.
2. Charles River Wind Ensemble. The Charles River Wind Ensemble will give a concert this afternoon at the First Baptist Church in Newton. The concert will include works by Jules Strens, Adam Gorb, Michael Gandolfi and Leonard Bernstein. The concert starts at 3 p.m.

4. Town hall meetings. Mayor Setti Warren will host the last of his town hall meetings on the proposed override this afternoon at 1 p.m. at Oak Hill Middle School.
5. Kid's day at Terry O'Reilly's. Terry O'Reilly's Pub will host a Kids Day today from noon - 4 p.m. Stop by for face painting, kids music, kids menu specials, balloons and fun for the whole family.
