Five Things You Need to Know Today: March 11
A parenting seminar, Finance Committee meets and info from the Newton Health Department.

1. Finance Committee. The Finance Committee will meet tonight at 7 p.m. in room 222 at City Hall. The agenda for tonight's meeting is included in the .pdf section to the right.
2. Shingles vaccines. Starting today, Newton residents can call the Health & Human Services Department to make an appointment to receive a shingles vaccine. The clinics will be held in late March and April at City Hall. There is no charge to receive the vaccine. The clinics are open to adults age 60 and older who have checked with their primary health care provider to make sure the vaccine is appropriate for them. Call 617-796-1420 to make your appointment.
3. Newton Community Farm Youth Summer Programs. The Newton Community Farm has posted its 2013 youth summer programs. .

4. 'When Your Kids Push Your Buttons.' The Newton Free Library will host a parenting workshop tonight titled 'When Your Kids Push Your Buttons.' There are several spaces still available for the workshop, which begins at 7 p.m.
