Five Things You Need to Know Today: May 12
FunFEST continues, Mother's Day concerts and a memorial bike ride. Happy Mother's Day!

1. Christina Clarke Genco Memorial Bike Ride. The second annual Christina Clarke Genco Memorial Mother's Day Bike Ride will take place today starting at 8 a.m. There is a 68-mile route that kicks off at 8 a.m., a 34-mile route that starts at 9 a.m., a 17-mile route that starts at 10 a.m. and a 3.4-mile route that starts at 11 a.m. All rides start from City Hall. 2. Kids FunFEST continues. The annual Kids FunFEST on City Hall lawn will continue today from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. There will be amusement rides for kids, face painting, arts and crafts as well as performances from Kodokan Boston, Giroux Brothers Martial Arts, Creative Dance Steps studio and the YMCA Band. Admission is free.
3. Free concert. The Newton Free Library will host the Flying Flutistas today for a free concert at 2 p.m. Flutists Lynne Krayer-Luke and Vanessa Breault Mulvey, and pianist Doug Johnson will share musical selections inspired by the movement of the flying trapeze.

4. Open houses. Looking for a new home in Newton? Check out this list of open houses this weekend in the city.
5. Mother's Day concert. The Claremont Trio will perform a program of piano, violin and cello chamber music this afternoon at the Andover Newton Theological School. Sponsored by the Suzuki School of Newton. Tickets are $25 general admission, $20 senior/WGBH member and $10 for children. The concert starts at 4 p.m. More information is available on the Suzuki Newton website.
