A detour will be in place for drivers using Needham Street.

NEWTON, MA — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is conducting overnight roadway reconstruction on Needham Street in Newton now though the end of the month.

The work began on July 9 and will continue through July 30. It affects Needham Street from Winchester Street to Tower Road.

Work takes place from Sunday through Thursday from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. A detour is in place for drivers using Needham Street.
